The workshop was aptly named “TRIVENI”, meaning the Sangam or convergence of three rivers. The workshop blended Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi poetry into a single event. The workshop was conducted by Sahitya Akademi award winning poets Dr. Surjit Patar (Punjabi) and Mr. Manglesh Dabral (Hindi). Mr Mansoor Umani was also present during the workshop. About 25 students registered to participate in the workshop

The first day was divided into two halves where the first half was dedicated to Dr. Surjit Patar wherein he recited his poems and also listened to the participants’ poems while encouraging the students with his wise words. After the lunch break, the second half was dedicated to Mr. Manglesh Dabral. He recited poems such as 'Torch' that he has written. The next day there was an amalgamation of Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi poetry by a few renowned poets. The workshop was followed by an Inter-Lingual Mushaira in the afternoon. Various poets of these languages were a part of the Mushaira.

The entire department was commended for the efforts and arrangements made by them. All the participants walked with large smiles on their faces and a new found enthusiasm for poetry in their hearts.
